Bob probably traded Vlad a case of Vodka (not the cheap Russian Mob swill) for the ring... Maybe he was drugged by the KGB... whomever tells you they don't exist anymore is full of it!
Either that or they swiped "The Ring" because of Dolph Lundgren's sickening portrayal of a Russkie in Rocky 4.
